I design and build systems for a living — mostly cloud architecture, sometimes mobile apps, occasionally a small tool that saves everyone an afternoon. I like problems where the constraint is real and the elegant answer is also the cheap one.

This site is where the longer write-ups live, alongside shorter notes that don't earn a full architecture diagram. It used to live on Medium; now it is a few hundred kilobytes of static files on S3, served from a CDN, for roughly a dollar a month.

Everything here is written in Markdown and published by pushing to a Git repository. There is no database, no application server, and nothing to log into — which is the point.
